About Jeremy

Finding a job you love is hard. So many of us toil in jobs where we are underpaid, underappreciated, and can’t advance our career.  We’ve all been there.

A few years ago, I lost my job four times in five years – mostly being laid off after a shift in company ownership.

I’ll never forget how unfair it felt or how hard each job loss hit me – especially when I had to come home and tell my family.  Despite all my effort or what my accomplishments were, I didn’t have control over what would happen to my career or our finances.  Each time, the uncertainty of a job search left me stressing about finding a home for my career.

It was humiliating, and I felt like a failure.

I started this company to help people avoid feeling that way, leveraging two decades of experience helping people align their job with their skills, values, and personal dreams.

That experience not only taught me how to get GOOD at finding a new job, but it also made me very PASSIONATE about helping others do the same.

Then, in December 2022 (amidst public fears around inflation and frequent news about corporate layoffs), I found myself fortunate to be in MY Dream Job as a Consultant and Trainer, attending a job fair representing my employer.

I was struck by how much help the attendees were asking for – their elevator pitches, how to prioritize the companies and roles they should apply to, building resumes, communicating their fit for a job, etc.

On the drive home, it occurred to me:

  • I am passionate about helping people improve their careers.
  • I am good at the job application and career-switching process – my methodology has worked for me and many others, and I have a “teach you how to fish” approach.
  • This could do a lot of good in the world by helping people build satisfying, sustainable careers.

When you find that alignment… aren’t you supposed to do something like that for the rest of your life?

That’s when I started The Dream Job Network with the mission of having a positive impact on as many careers as possible.

I have 20 years of coaching and training experience and have helped hundreds of individuals with topics that include their job search, leadership skills, negotiation, executive presence, and how to grow and nurture a professional network.  I was a lead coach and faculty member for Babson College’s Coaching for Leadership and Teamwork Program (CLTP), and helped Babson innovate and adjust the experience for students across two decades.

Testimonials include former clients, colleagues, and friends who have benefitted from the things I have taught them.

My “other jobs” include:

Full-time Husband to Emily since 2011

Full-time Dad to Jacob since 2014 and Eliana since 2016

Part-time / Amateur scuba diver (PADI Rescue certified) and fisherman

Occasional Volunteer at Babson College and other organizations
